Winton

I spent 6 weeks in Winton, Queensland whilst working on Iven Sen’s latest film project Mystery Road. Crew and cast made this film one of the most memorable jobs I have been fortunate to work on.

There is a reason why this town has become a a desired shooting location. The open landscape and ochre colour palette provide a scenic backdrop for any drama. The logistics of travel and locations is simpler than inner city filming and the locals were also very welcoming of outside crews.

When we had time away from set I sought to capture the tones of this country town and it’s subtle and unassuming characteristics.
